Castings
API Engineering Ltd supplies Ferrous (Iron, Steel ...) and Non Ferrous castings. Castings can be supplied in rough cast, rough machined or finished condition. However we would recommend that at least rough machining be carried out by ourselves.
The facilities available include:
- Capability to manufacture wood, plastic and aluminium patterns
- Sand mixers for resin and green sand
- Moulding machines
- Vacuum casting equipment
- Shot blasting and Investment castings peening machines
- Centrifugal casting machines for cast iron and aluminium bronze
The largest steel castings made are up to unit mass of 300 tons, iron castings up to 100 tons, and non-ferrous alloy castings of 3 tons. The smallest castings we supply weigh less than 1 kg.
Centrifugal Casting (Horizontal and Vertical) can be provided to the following sizes.
Horizontal - ø 1m Axial Length, 3.3m Weight, up to 30 Tons
Vertical - ø 2.2m, Axial Length 1m
