API Engineering has over 30 years’ experience in the design and manufacturing of drilling tools and equipment. Typical tools include Drill Collars, Drill Pipes, Kelly Equipment, Stabilizers and Subs.

Our production capacity for downhole tools is over 15,000 drill collars, 6,000 heavy weight drill pipes and 2,000 non-magnetic drill collars.

Our non-magnetic components are produced from low carbon stainless steel and conform to the requirements of API Spec.7 and SY/T5144. We also offer high strength non-magnetic items that have passed all the tests in NACIS, in correspondence with SY/T5144 and API SPEC.7-1/7-2

Our Integral Heavy Weight Drill Pipe is produced from AISI 4145H alloy steel according to API Spec.7 and SY/T5144. It is formed by a hot forging and fully heat-treated. Wear resistant hard banding on the tool joint connections and central upset are supplied as standard. Types of hard banding include Arnco 100XT and 300XT. All threads are phosphate, copperized or cold worked. All threads are machined with CNC Lathes.

Our equipment is currently installed and operational in oil fields worldwide and have been used for many years by leading drilling contractors.

Products can be supplied finished or semi-finished and we also offer raw material in standard or bespoke alloys.

Our various production facilities around the world are certified to API Spec 7-1, NS-1 Level 5, ISO9001-2008 and ISO14001-2004
